Evangelism is not reserved for pastors, missionaries, or trained preachers. It is the calling of every follower of Jesus Christ. To be a Christian is to be a witness—someone who carries the message of hope, salvation, and new life wherever they go.

What Is the Gospel?
At its heart, the Gospel is simple, powerful, and life-changing:

God loves humanity
Sin separated us from God

Why Evangelism Matters

Overcoming Fear and Hesitation
Many believers hesitate to share their faith out of fear—fear of rejection, fear of saying the wrong thing, or fear of opposition. But God promises His presence.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

You are not alone. The Holy Spirit empowers you to speak with wisdom and love.

A Clear Call to Salvation

The Christian life was never meant to be lived by human strength alone. God, in His wisdom and grace, gave us the Holy Spirit—our Helper, Guide, and Comforter—to lead us into truth and empower us to live a life that pleases Him.

Who Is the Holy Spirit?

What Does It Mean to Walk by the Spirit?
Walking by the Spirit means living with a conscious dependence on God rather than on self. It involves:

– Yielding our desires to His will
– Obeying His promptings, even when it is uncomfortable
– Trusting God’s leading one step at a time

One of the most challenging—and transformative—truths of the Christian faith is this: following Christ requires surrender. The Gospel does not merely invite us to add Jesus to our lives; it calls us to lay our lives down and live anew in Him.

The Call to Die to Self

In a world that celebrates self-promotion, self-preservation, and self-sufficiency, Jesus issues a countercultural call: deny yourself. This does not mean losing identity or value; rather, it means releasing control and allowing Christ to redefine who we are and how we live.

The Apostle Paul captures this truth powerfully:

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”— Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)

Dying to self is the pathway to true freedom—freedom from sin, fear, pride, and the burden of self-rule.

What It Means to Live for Christ
